Xiqiong Temple (西琼寺), nestled in the serene Rangtang County (壤塘縣) of Aba Prefecture (阿壩州) in Sichuan, has long served as a lighthouse of wisdom and compassion. As the ancestral temple of the Nyingma Northern Terma tradition, it has been a refuge where revered figures like Guru Padmasambhava (蓮花生大士) and King Gesar (格薩爾王) practiced, bestowing their blessings upon the land. Your support goes far beyond bricks and mortar; it is a heartfelt investment in restoring a place of profound significance that has touched countless lives across generations.
Earlier this year, a heartbreaking fire devastated our main hall. Though we were grateful to save the Buddha statues and treasured artifacts, the loss of our sacred hall has left an indelible mark on our hearts. As we begin the difficult process of dismantling what remains and reconstructing this cherished space, we are continually reminded of the immeasurable kindness of those who have stepped forward to help us on this journey of restoration.

The Sutra of the Fundamental Vows of Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva (地藏菩薩本願經) gently teaches us that even the smallest acts of generosity—whether a single piece of wood or a handful of earth—can bring deep blessings and joy to those who give.
