Science & Origin of Aquamarine

Aquamarine is a blue variety of Beryl that crystallizes in hexagonal columns. The blue colour of this stone comes from minor traces of iron. It can commonly be found in association with Muscovite. This crystal is a scarce stone that has a long history. The first recorded use of this mineral was around 400 B.C. in Greece, but it has been used throughout multiple societies for over 2,000 years. Aquamarine can be found in the United States, Brazil, Australia and several other African countries. The highest quality specimens currently on the market are from Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Meaning & Energy

Aquamarine is a special stone that helps open a clear channel between your heart and throat chakras. This ever-so-important connection allows one to speak from the heart and to the highest truths constantly. This beryl variety is a perfect stone to help you solve conflicts, arguments and disagreements. Aquamarine can also support you in cooling those fiery emotions that desire to overtake us. The water element shines bright in this stone and urges us to peel back a layer of ourselves to allow that inner being to glow. In addition, Aquamarine is here to help you constantly refresh your emotions and provide mental clarity. There are times when your heart will be completely open and straightforward, but yet your mind may tend to be still foggy. Aquamarine supports us in wisdom, intellect, knowledge, ideas enhancement, and mental clarity. When one’s open heart and clear mind are able to work in sync, the opportunities and relationships will become endless.
