Science & Origin of Charoite

Charoite, commonly known as lilac stone, is a rare silicate mineral rich in potassium, barium, calcium strontium, sodium, and hydrogen. This crystal was called after the Chara River in Eastern Siberia, Russia after it was discovered in the late 1940s. Although it was lightly discussed at the time, it did not enter the market until 1978, with the assistance of Russian geologists. One of the primary reasons we believe this beautiful stone was not widely recognised until recently was its unappealing raw appearance.

When Charoite is raw, it is opaque and lacks the milky fibrous shine that requires a jeweller's touch to bring it to life. Its colour ranges from deep purple to lilac pink and is usually found with Quartz (white) and Manganese inclusions (black). This is one of the rare stones that appear to have been heat-treated or coloured at first glance. The genuine violet waves of Charoite are almost impossible to duplicate, so have no concerns while purchasing this stone!

Meaning & Energy

Charoite is a multidimensional stone that aids in communication with spirit guides, deities, and other realm entities. When working with this stone, our third eye, crown, and etheric chakra systems are tested (especially when placed directly on the forehead). The energies generated by Charoite immediately activate the pineal gland, allowing for the rapid development of transdimensional vision. Deep meditation with Charoite may quickly yield symbolic visuals depicting facets of our current lives.

Charoite's vibrant energy aids in the removal of the mask we put on ourselves. This is a self-defensive characteristic that our subconscious frequently develops. This illusory "shareholder" of your consciousness is currently seeking comfort, safety, and stability. Our longing for these emotions may induce us to act fearfully. This perspective is not healthy for someone thinking about growth and expansion. To advance our personal development, we must be willing and able to accept our undesirable characteristics. Charoite eliminates our false self-image and places us on a platform of confidence and self-acceptance. Once one is at ease, one can seek solace in the people around them.
