Feng Shui Coins: Their Functions and Varieties

Coins can bring money and luck.

Coins can bring money and luck, depending on your Feng Shui school. The Tien-di-Ren, three coins tied with a red ribbon, symbolises harmony between humans, the Earth, and the heavens. Four Chinese symbols surround a square on the coin. The coin’s roundness represents heaven’s energy and its squareness, earth’s. The ribbon’s tie affects how Chi is interpreted as well as luck.

The meaning of the coin’s central square and the colour red

Most things can be broken down into the “five elements,” according to traditional Chinese thought. Each of these can be found in nature: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. Like people who believe in the yin and yang school of thought, people who practice Feng shui try to find a balance between the five elements. Since ancient times, the colour red has been directly associated with China and Chinese culture. Because of its fiery connotations and positive connotations, it is often associated with success and fortune. A tradition of the Chinese New Year is to gift money in red envelopes or packets to children as a symbol of good fortune for the coming year. Red’s historical associations go beyond passion and lust.

The Symbolic and Meaningful Importance of Feng Shui Coin Arrangements

As you can see in the table below, the configurations of lucky Chinese coins used in Feng Shui are primarily determined by the number of coins used in the arrangement.

  • 3-coin configuration: The Chinese believe in a trinity of luck, consisting of the heavens, the earth, and human beings. Widely accepted as a means of bringing about and attracting financial success.

  • 5-coin configuration: safeguarding from harm and peril while drawing financial success to the possessor. In Feng Shui, the number five represents the five elements of the universe: fire, water, earth, wood, and metal.

  • 6-coin configuration: In Chinese culture, the number six represents good fortune from high, so it is widely regarded as a good omen. is thought to win the approval of coworkers and superiors

  • 8-coin configuration: According to Feng Shui, the number eight is the most auspicious because it represents wealth and success.

  • 9-coin configuration: Since the number nine represents the harmony between the heavens and the earth, the wearer of a tassel with nine coins are thought to enjoy divine protection and financial success.

  • 10-coin configuration: If you string ten coins together, you’ll have a prosperous life.

Best Placements for Feng Shui Coins

Whether at home or in the workplace, the Chinese lucky coin is most effective when displayed in an area associated with sources of income.

It is recommended that the coin be placed wherever cash is “in-flow,” as opposed to cash reserves. Designers, for instance, spend a lot of time in front of computers and drawing boards. When this happens, you can try putting a Chinese Feng Shui coin (or some other configuration) next to your computer.

Here are some suggested locations for your Chinese luck coins based on this principle:

  • In your wallet: Putting the coin in your wallet is a simple use that is thought to increase the value of your possessions.

  • Investment records: You can get a better return on your investment if you put the coin next to the documents. If you prefer to deal digitally, keep your coins close to your computer.

  • Near the phone: Place coins near the phone if your business involves making outbound calls to clients (or on it)

  • Cash register: for traditional businesses with a physical location, like eating establishments.

  • Water fountain: A 6-coin configuration placed on a mountain near a water fountain is said to bring good fortune to the home.

  • Chair: To boost your productivity at work, try putting a coin (or several) under your chair.
