Feng Shui Home: Corridor Facing the Door Sha Qi Master Jason Chan's Feng Shui Insights

Updated: Aug 23

Recently, I have been examining the Feng Shui of several residential units, and I noticed that many of them are plagued by certain types of negative energy, or Sha Qi. I wonder if your home might be affected by the type of Feng Shui issue discussed below.

In modern Singapore apartments, some units have doors facing directly into corridors, commonly referred to as "corridor facing the door Sha Qi." When the corridor within the house faces the door, it tends to bring about disputes and conflicts among family members. If the Feng Shui negative star flies into the corridor, this Sha Qi not only causes arguments but can also lead to serious accidents involving bloodshed. Fortunately, in the homes I have recently examined, the corridors did not have the negative Feng Shui star, so they only resulted in minor disputes.

One client asked, "If our family frequently argues, wouldn't it disturb our household peace?" This client was quite perceptive to have realized this issue so quickly. After I confirmed her concerns, she asked me with a worried expression if there was any way to resolve it.

Resolving this type of Sha Qi is actually quite simple, so I reassured her, "Don't worry, mitigating this Sha Qi is not difficult." There are two methods to address this:

1. Placing Five Emperor Coins or Six Emperor Coins: Place a set of "Five Emperor Coins" or "Six Emperor Coins" at the main door, specifically at the threshold area.

2. Adding a Divider after the door: Install some carpentry to block the direct alignment with the main door.

She then asked which method would be better. Since her newly bought home could easily accommodate the the divider, I recommended this solution before moving in. So that she also have more storage space.
