How to detox your Feng Shui home in just three steps?

Updated: Aug 24

We are used to hearing about detox processes related to our diet or unhealthy habits. And in recent years, more and more talk has been about taking a few days to detox from the digital world and social networks.

And what about our house? Our home needs to circulate and renew its Qi. Feng Shui, for example, provides specific knowledge to apply in the home to attract good points and avoid bad ones.

Embarking on a home detox journey before applying Feng Shui principles may sound daunting, but it's simpler than you think. With a few straightforward steps, you can prepare your home to welcome positive energy and harmony.

One key recommendation for the process to be successful is to get rid of everything we no longer need. In every house, there are old, broken things or things we haven’t used for years. Can we use specific methods such as Marie Kondo’s or the Japanese 5S way or one simpler to apply, like “one in, one out”? Even in the day-to-day, it is possible to eliminate the extra when we are aware that we are facing an object that we no longer need.

Second, an easy tip to implement daily is to ventilate all rooms. Beyond the weather, opening the windows every morning and letting the air renew for half an hour is a gesture that your house will appreciate, both at an energy level and if you need to ventilate because you painted or have new furniture.

Finally, plants help clean and purify home air. Sansevieria and pothos are some of them.
