Data

Do not marry the strong women you meet. In this line, "women" refers to the uneducated and ignorant, qualities not associated with political, entrepreneurial, and philanthropic leaders. Do not judge a person by their appearance. Intelligence, not beauty, is what is essential. Forming friendships/ relationships with intelligent people will help to stimulate your mind and elevate your spirit.

Yin on Line 1: A metal braking system is installed in the carriage. If the brakes are released, there will be a danger. It is like meeting lean and hungry bears. Perseverance, a key element in facing challenges, brings positive results. The 'carriage' represents the capacity to assemble capable people to help administer the Zhou empire. The carriage's 'brakes' mean the controlled method of choosing the appropriate people. The 'lean and hungry bears' represent power-hungry but incapable people. Choose your friends/significant other wisely.

Yang on Line 2: The fish are kept in the sack. There will be no mistake. It is disadvantageous to let the fish come near the guests. The "fish" represents mean-spirited and hateful people who must be kept in check. Avoid their company. They seek to pollute the minds of others, contaminating a person's confidence, motivation, and good intentions. You have the power to control your environment and keep negativity at bay. (Note: Some sinologists translate "fish" as sex addicts. Sex without love should be avoided.)

Yang on Line 3: People whose buttocks have been stripped walk with immense difficulty. It is dangerous, but there will be no mistake. Symbolising criminals whipped with a cane. These lines tell us it is difficult to associate with those with a corrupt history. However, if a person has redeemed him- or herself, give that person a second chance. Keep a watchful eye, and you will not be harmed.

Yang on Line 4: There are no fish in the sack. It will give rise to evil. The "fish" (mean-spirited and hateful people) must have escaped and returned to the river. When these unscrupulous individuals are loose and out of control, it signals the beginning of trouble. Left unsupervised, they will spread their delusions, infecting others with malice and negativity. This marks the beginning of tough times. Be careful. (Note: Some sinologists translate "fish" as sex addicts. "No fish in the sack" means you have no love life. Such repression can give rise to evil behaviour.)

Yang on Line 5: Using willow twigs to wrap a melon is like concealing your ability. Watch the mean people fall like meteors in the sky. Surround yourself with intelligent, like-minded people. But, by all means, don't boast about your connections. It is time for you to take action when those hindering your progress fall by the wayside.

Yang on Line 6: Meeting people who blow their horns is shameful. There will be no harm. Using individuals who toot their horns (brag about their accomplishments) for your gain is disgraceful. Sometimes, it can't be helped. You will not be faulted.
