During the Three Kingdoms period, Zhuge Liang, known as Kongming, lived in seclusion in a thatched cottage in Longzhong, Nanyang. He was devoted to his studies and health cultivation, mastering various arts, including Qiming and Dungong (methods of divination), astronomy, numerology, hexagrams, and military strategies. Initially, he did not seek recognition from the warlords. However, later on, Xu Shu recommended him to Liu Bei. Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei visited him three times for advice, an event known as "Three Visits to the Thatched Cottage". Zhuge Liang was then appointed as a military strategist. When Liu Bei ascended the throne, Zhuge Liang was appointed as Prime Minister and entrusted with Liu Bei's son. Later, the young lord bestowed upon him the title of Marquis Wuqing. Zhuge Liang's life teaches us the value of patience, the importance of waiting for the right time, and the wisdom in not seeking out opportunities—they will come on their own.
