The Great Depression was the most prolonged, deepest, and most widespread Depression of the 20th century and is regularly used as an example of an intense global economic depression. At that time, the financial shock transmitted worldwide, impacting countries to varying degrees, with most countries experiencing the Great Depression from 1929.

1929 was 己巳 year of the earth snake in Period 4.

  • The US stock market crash crashed on October 29, 1929.

  • Devastating effects were seen in both rich and emerging countries, with falling personal income, prices, tax revenues, and profits.

  • Cities worldwide were hit hard, especially those dependent on heavy industry.

  • Construction was virtually halted in many countries.

  • Farming communities and rural areas suffered as crop prices fell by about 60%.

  • Massive government and business spending

  • Bank run on the Bank of United States.

  • The Smoot–Hawley Tariff Act

  • The German banking crisis of 1931

  • British Crisis

2022 壬寅, the year of the water tiger in Period 8, may have different results than the 1929 Great Depression. 2022 Period 8 is an earth element transiting into period 9. Right now, we are on the edge of a cliff.

The critical factor to look for is

  • A sudden drop in property value.

  • Growing nationalism sentiments.

  • The war between Russia with Ukraine is prolonged.

  • More trade restrictions.

  • FED continue to increase the interest rate significantly.

  • With a lower supply of goods and a decrease in oil production by OPEC, inflation will continue to rise.

  • Stock market fall drastically in short period of time.

All these factors may worsen enough to push the world to have a more adverse reaction. The market can stabilise with new alliances between countries, particularly China and peace in the world. Then it will be the ideal outcome.
